Johnny Chan was the first Asian poker player to be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2002. Though originally from China, in 1968, his family moved to Phoenix Arizona and then to Houston, Texas in 1973. He dropped out of college at the age of 21 to play poker professionally. He is also famous for playing himself in the movie Rounders, with Matt Damon. Chan is considered one of the best all-around poker players today. He is also a consultant for casinos and game makers.
