Joseph Hachem is the 2005 grand prize winner of the World Series of Poker.

Originally born in Lebanon and now living in Australia, he defeated 5,518 players from all over the world to win the No Limit Texas Holdem main event and earn $7.5 million, a record breaking prize money in the world of high profile poker tournament.

A chiropractor by trade, he gave that up a few years ago after a developing a rare blood disorder in his hands. While taking time off to consider his future, Joe began to play poker – starting in casinos then trying his luck online. When he's not playing poker, he runs a small broking business in Pascoe Vale.

While 2005 marked his first WSOP, he is a professional poker player who has been playing poker for 10 years. Hachem is the first Australian that ever won the WSOP.
